MEET OUR 2024 JUDGES

Lauren Porter is currently a Senior Creative Strategist at Bleacher Report. 

Originally from the suburbs of Washington D.C., the Syracuse University alumna has a passion for storytelling with experience in editorial and marketing.

Prior to her current role, Lauren was an editor and writer covering love and lifestyle at ESSENCE, a premiere lifestyle, fashion, and beauty magazine for Black women. There, she developed and launched several digital-first editorial franchises as well as spearheaded live experiential event video productions. 

Since joining BR in September of 2018, she's helped to secure new brand partners with original multi-episode content series such featuring A-list athlete and creator talent. Lauren has also helped develop the brand identity and strategy for HighlightHER, Bleacher Report’s dedicated women-focused sports culture portfolio brand. 

For her career achievements, Lauren has earned industry accolades from Masthead as a WICMA Rising Star, Forbes 30 Under 30 in Sports, and Hashtag Sports Creators of Color.
